PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving position detecting means assembled easily and highly precisely without complicating structure and increasing the number of part items, in a lens moving device for a camera. SOLUTION: This device has guide sfafts 130, 140 inside a housing 100 to hold a lens holding frame 120 to be movable along an optical axis direction. A linear motor for moving the lens holding frame 120 along the optical axis direction is composed of a drive coil 150 in a lens holding frame 120 side, a magnet 170 in a housing 100 side and the like. Into N-poles and S-poles is alternately magnetized the guide shaft 140 with a fixed interval along its axial direction. A magnetic sensor 200 is provided in the lens holding frame 120 to be adjacent to the guide shaft 140. The N-poles and the S-poles on the guide shaft 140 are detected by the sensor 200 in accompaniment with movement of the lens holding frame 120, and detected pulses therein are counted to detect a moving position of the lens holding frame 120. |
