A cap based on the design of the tip of a traditional larding pin comprises a one piece, die-cast, hard plastic. It is threaded, to fit tubes filled with various flavoring purees (as garlic, paprika, goulash, mustard, mayonnaise etc.) to introduce flavorings into the body of foodstuffs especially pieces of meat, fish etc. The cap penetrates below the surfaces, but tough meats are pierced by a knife prior to inserting the cap. The cap is also suitable for surface writing and decoration of cakes, sandwiches, etc. with cream or other suitable pastes. Caps can be sealed with small corks when left on tubes. |
