Determining sensitivity of cells to apoptotic agents, useful e.g. for selecting compounds for treating cancer, using externalization of phosphatidyl serine as apoptotic marker

Determining the chemical sensitivity of cells towards at least one substance (I) comprising measuring (I)-induced apoptosis, is new. The cells are incubated, simultaneously, with at least one marker (II) that has a detectable interaction with phosphatidyl serine (PS), and (I), and the (II)-PS interaction is determined in a time-resolved manner. An Independent claim is also included for a kit containing at least one cytostatic agent and at least one (II), as a solid material, solution or in presence of a matrix substance.
