PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter capable of being easily assembled and retaining the closed condition of a section to be closed by a closing body while preventing limit of installed locations. SOLUTION: A fire-resistant screen device 3 as a shutter is provided with a noncombustible sheet 8 vertically movable along an opening 1 to be closed. When closing the opening 1 by the sheet 8, the sheet 8 is lowered by its own weight and then, the sheet 8 is raised while retaining the fitting condition of a throating body 10 to the floor and moving downward the throating body 10 relative to a weight 9. When an engaging part is engaged with a engaging means, the sheet 8 is stopped. The whole dead weight of the sheet 8 does not act on the floor and no gap arises between both side edges along the transfer direction of the sheet 8 and a guide rail 4 even when the installation position of the engaging means is not finely adjusted.
