SOLUTION: Color information data are transferred from the destination of transfer from an MO disk 21 or a network 22 or the like via an interface 15 to a storage part 12, and stored in an inside color information data storage area 16. Color characteristic description data prepared by a known method are stored in a color characteristic description data storage region 17. When the color information data are transferred to the color information data storage region 16, a transformation processing part 11 automatically retrieves the color characteristics description data necessary for the transformation of the color information data from the color characteristic description data storage area 17, and transforms the color information data by referring to that. The transformed color information data are transferred to a transformed result data storage area 18 as the transformed result. |
