PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a disc drive motor in order to achieve the cost reduction by improving a hub and the structure of its surrounding parts. SOLUTION: A hub 11 of a rotary shaft type disc drive motor 1 is a stamping manufactured by press working a steel plate, etc. Therefore, the finish with the inside diameter, right circularity, etc., of a bearing retaining part 16 which have certain accuracy quality level or higher which cannot be obtained without secondary machining when a casting can be obtained. As a thick part does not exist when a stamping is employed as the hub 11, a ring piece 70 is fixed to the inside of the hub 11 and the ring piece 70 is utilized for adjusting the rotation balance of the hub 11 and form fine gaps 75 and 78 of which labyrinth seal is composed. |
