PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with vertical motion operation of a shipping conveyer for the purpose of switching a carrying-in/out direction of a load to an elevating cage, and to simplify and lighten a device within the elevating cage. SOLUTION: In a internal conveyer unit 1 set in an elevating cage, a first shipping conveyer 12 has a conveying plane formed by conveyer chains 121 extending corresponding to groovelike spaces 137A-137E formed between rollers 131 of a second shipping conveyer 13, while the conveying plane is disposed under a conveying plane formed by the rollers 131 of the second shipping conveyer 13. A pallet 2 has lower projecting stripes 22A-22E projectingly formed on its lower face corresponding to the groove-like spaces 137A-137E. The pallet 2 is supported on the conveyer chains 121 in non-contact with the second shipping conveyer 13 with the lower projecting stripes 22A-22E. Accordingly, a load does not interfere with the second shipping conveyer 13 in the case of the Y-direction conveyance by the first shipping conveyer 12, while the load does not interfere with the first conveyer 12 in the case of the X-direction conveyance by the second shipping conveyer 13.
