PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect copyrights and privacy in reading out image files in which image data of a plurality of different resolutions are stored. SOLUTION: An image to be read out is first designated (S201). It is judged whether or not image data to be read out is data of a maximum resolution in a file (S202). When the image data is of the maximum resolution, inputting a password is requested (S204). When the input password is made sure to be proper, the designated image data is read out (S206 and S207). When the password is judged not to be proper, the same procedures are repeated again, or a requested resolution is lowered by one level and the same procedures are repeated. |
