PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermittent driving device using a ratchet mechanism suitable for transmission of high-speed motion, capable of converting the movements in two directions of a reciprocating operating member into the intermittent rotation motion. SOLUTION: An intermittent driving device is provided with a ratchet gear 7, an operating member 1 to be reciprocated in the direction perpendicular to a rotary shaft 6 of the ratchet gear 7 by external operating force, and first and second ratchet claws 12, 13 to be reciprocated together with the operating member 1 by being engaged with both ends of the ratchet gear 7 across the rotary shaft 6 of the ratchet gear 7. The first ratchet claw 12 is engaged with the ratchet gear 7 with the forward movement of the operating member 1 to rotate the ratchet gear 7 at the specified angle in a first direction, and the second ratchet claw 13 is engaged with the ratchet gear 7 with the backward movement of the operating member 1 to rotate the ratchet gear 7 at the specified angle in the first direction.
