DISK UNCLAMPING APPARATUS OF DISK DRIVE

PURPOSE: A disk unclamping mechanism of a disk drive is provided to cancel clamping of a disk automatically by moving a tray. CONSTITUTION: A tray(T) having a loaded disk(D) is mounted on a case(C). The tray includes a spindle motor for rotating the disk, a component for moving an optical pickup, and a component for ejecting the tray. A protruded hole(10) is formed on a side of the tray to contact an one-way elastic member(20) with the disk. The protruded hole is preferably positioned at the outer edge of the disk not to contact the elastic member with the data recording face of the disk. The one-way elastic member is positioned on a moving path of the hole, preferably at the front end of the case. The one-way elastic member releases the disk by applying differential force to the disk depending on a moving direction of the tray. The disk is released by reaction force when the disk is moved outside a drive. Therefore, a user does not need to unclamp the disk additionally to eject the disk from the tray.
