PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the reflection wavelength of a diffraction grating from being changed by a temperature change when mounting an optical fiber with the diffraction grating to a fixing member, such as a substrate. SOLUTION: A portion of the optical fiber 1 including the diffraction grating 2 of the optical fiber 3 with the diffraction grating formed with the diffraction grating 2 in part in the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber 1 is fixed along a holding member 4 consisting of a material having a negative coefficient of thermal expansion, by which the temperature compensation of the optical fiber with the diffraction grating is effected and the holding member 4 is fixed to the fixing member 6, such as the substrate. As a result, the thermal expansion and the change in the refractive index accompanying the temperature change of the optical fiber 3 with the diffraction grating are compensated by the fixation of the holding member 4 having the negative coefficient of thermal expansion and the occurrence of a deviation in the reflection wavelength is averted. |
