PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video signal processing circuit that is applied to a television camera adopting both the NTSC/PAL system and the HDTV system and attains contour enhancement operated under a stable operation through the use of a digital signal processing system by applying contour correction to input signals of both the systems as R, G, B systems of the NTSC/PAL system and Y, Pr, Pb signals of the HDTV system. SOLUTION: A 1st peaking circuit 21a arranged in a video signal processing circuit 13 applies peaking processing to R and Pr signals in a video signal, a 2nd peaking circuit 21b applies peaking processing to G, Y signals, and a 3rd peaking circuit 21c applies peaking processing to B, Pb signals. Furthermore, An inverse matrix transformation circuit 22 of the video signal processing circuit 13 extracts the video signal from the Y signal receiving the peaking processing by the peaking circuit 21b and the signals Pr, Pb, and a selection circuit 23 selects circuit connection corresponding to a type of the input signal.
