PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for data transmission in a shared medium having a central unit and many subscribers which eliminates a need of giving a place for information which is not always required in each transmission frame and realizes effective information transmission especially in the signaling data phase to a down link. SOLUTION: The device for data transmission in the shared medium having a central unit and many subscribers is used where a signaling data phase 42 to the down link is divided into at least two data fields 421 and 422 and a first data field is always provided in each transmission frame and a second data field can be assigned with variable length by using various information elements.
