PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the additional constitution of a hardware unnecessary and prevent the trouble or the malfunction of a detecting system by a method wherein a core temperature sensor is detected to be taken out of an initial food stuff, when a difference between the detecting temperature detected by the core temperature sensor, and the inside temperature of a cooling chamber is at most a set value when the cooling of the initial food stuff has been finished. SOLUTION: A controller monitors an inside temperature Tm, detected by an inside temperature sensor, and detection temperatures Tda, Tdb, Tdc, which are detected by three sets of core temperature sensors. Food stuffs Fa, Fb. Fc are cooled quickly as a time is elapsed. Next, a difference between the detecting temperature Tda and the inside temperature Tm is obtained. In this case, the core temperature sensor is left in a cooling chamber under a condition that the sensor is taken out of the food stuff Fa whereby the core temperature sensor detects the inside temperature Tm and the difference between the detecting temperature Tda and the inside temperature Tm becomes zero theoretically. Accordingly, the difference between the detecting temperature Tda and the inside temperature Tm is obtained and when the difference has becomes lower than the set value, the core temperature sensor is judged to be taken out.
