PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform operation by providing a means for making a user select one translation sentence, a means for inputting only the part of the selected translation sentence which corresponds to matching parts of its sample original text and an input original sentence to a document editor, etc. SOLUTION: The user inputs the original sentence by an original sentence input part 2. Once the original sentence is inputted, a retrieval part 3 retrieves one or more sample original sentences similar to the inputted original sentence and their translation sentences from an example sentence dictionary 1 and displays them at a retrieval result display part. The user selects one translation sentence out of the translation sentences displayed at the retrieval result display part by using a translation selection part 4. Once one translation sentence is selected by the user, a translation fetch part 5 puts only the part of the selected translation sentence which correspond to matching parts of the sample original sentence and input original sentence in a document editor 6. The translation sentence is displayed on an editor screen. |
