PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To selectively detect octa, fluoro, cyclo and pentene in a gas to be detected which includes CF4 and C2F6 as interfering components. SOLUTION: The apparatus has an inflow opening and an outflow opening and consists of a reactor 1 which can adjust a gas-heating temperature, and a detector paper type gas-detecting device 10 connected to the outflow opening for measuring a concentration through a color reaction with an acid gas. The reaction furnace 1 is set to a temperature whereby it can neglect an output to C2F6 and can obtain an output to octa.fluoro.cyclo.pentene. Therefore, useless heating at high temperatures is eliminated and only the octa.fluoro.cyclo.pentene can be dissolved to a component detectable by an acid detection reaction reagent.
