<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost by electrically connecting cells to each other by means of a built-in connection body and effectively cool the respective cells and the connection body. SOLUTION: This sealed secondary battery system is made up by series- disposing a plurality of cells 2 each formed by housing a power generating element in a battery jar 14 of a bottomed rectangular-cylindrical shape, integrally joining the cells 2 with each other, and sealing up an opening part of each battery jar 14 with an integral-type lid body 5. A connection body 12 is disposed inside each lid body 5 for electrically connecting neighboring cells 2 to each other, cooling medium passages 21 are disposed on both sides of each cell 2 along the direction of its disposition, inter-jar cooling medium passages 18 causing the both-side cooling medium passages 21 to communicate with each other are formed between confronting wall surfaces of the battery jars 14 of the cells 2, and connection-body cooling passages 40 communicating with the both-side cooling medium passages 21 are formed above the connection bodies 12.</p> |
