PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience of electronic equipment, such as a portable telephone set constituted of a first functioning part for generating electromagnetic waves in a fixed level or more and the other second functioning part. SOLUTION: This electronic equipment is provided with an AV processing block 200, a telephone processing block 300, and a common processing block 400. A PM controller 101 controls the power source control, that is, the operation/non-operation of each block. A power source key K1 and a power source establishing key K2 are connected with the PM controller 101. A user can repeatedly select an AV mode, PHONE mode, and AV/PHONE mode by successively pressing the key K1, and establish the mode by depressing the key K2. When the use of equipment for generating electromagnetic waves is prohibited, the equipment can be used in the AV mode. Also, the equipment can be used in the AV mode outside a telephone service zone, and power consumption due to the turning-on of the power source of the telephone processing block 300 can be prevented. Thus, convenience for user can be improved. |
