<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption by means of an amplifier at a mobile station, that makes radio communication with the base station by the CDMA system and controls transmission power, on the basis of a reception signal from the base station. SOLUTION: This mobile station is provided with a variable attenuator 2, a 1st signal processing path having amplifiers 7, 8, a 2nd signal processing path without an amplifier, a changeover means 6 that switches the two signal processing paths, and in the case that a control means 13 controls transmission power within a power range of a threshold or over, the amplifiers 7, 8 are active, a changeover means 6 selects the 1st signal processing path, the variable attenuator 2 and the 1st signal processing path are used to control the transmission power of a signal, that is an object of transmission. When controlling the transmission power with a power range less than a threshold, the amplifiers 7, 8 are inactivated and the changeover means 6 is used to select the 2nd signal processing path, and the variable attenuator 2 and the 2nd signal processing path are used to control the transmission power of the signal that is an object of transmission.</p> |
