PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent undesirable light from passing through a mask, as well as improving ventilation of the mask. SOLUTION: This headlight for a vehicle is equipped with a light source 150, a reflector, and covering masks 300 and 400. A set of elements 420 whose surfaces opposing each other is provided and a passage 425 extending out of the light source and passing through the mask is formed between these opposing surfaces.
