<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently maintain the contact between an exhaust gas and a treating liquid and at the same time, miniaturize a device by providing an exhaust gas discharge means which discharge the exhaust gas in the form of bubbles, in a container filled with the treating liquid. SOLUTION: Bubbles of exhaust gas 11 containing an ethylene oxide from an exhaust gas pipe 5 are released into a treating liquid 4. In this case, the treating liquid 4 is made to circulate by a pump 12, so that the bubblelike exhaust gas 11 circulates together with the treating liquid 4. Thereafter, the contact area between the exhaust gas 11 and the treating liquid 4 can be increased, compared to the case with the blowing out of the atomized treating liquid 4 into the exhaust gas 11 from above. The chemical reaction takes place more rapidly in proportion to the increasing size of the contact area with the treating liquid 4, so that a container can be made small in size by making the bubbles fine. In addition, this effect can be enhanced by forming a bubble deformed layer 3. That is, the bubblelike exhaust gas 11 which ascends through the treating liquid 4 and reaches the bubble deformed layer 3, is deformed to have an expanded surface area resulting in the acceleration of the chemical reaction by passing through numerous passages formed between balls.</p> |
