PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tank construction method capable of remarkably reducing the term of works in a construction site and easily securing a site. SOLUTION: A tank body 3 equipped with a cavity part 2 functioned as a float on a part of a structure is built in a suitable building facility, the tank body 3 is floated on the sea by buoyancy of air enclosed in the cavity part 2 and towed to a designated installation position, and the cavity part 2 is opened to the air right above the installation position to dissipate the buoyancy, thereby precipitating the tank body 3. Thus, the lower part of the tank body 3 is seated on a foundation 18 previously installed at the sea bottom 15 of the installation position and fixed, subsequently pressurized air is introduced into the cavity part 2 to discharge the sea water, and then concrete is placed in the emptied cavity part 2 to complete the cavity part 2 as a reinforcement member.
