PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic composition including melanin-formation inhibitor that suppress the formation of melanin by using the extracts from the plants selected from cinchona bark, iris, Polygonum multiflorum, clover. SOLUTION: This cosmetic composition includes the extracts from the plants selected from (A) Cinchona sussirubra Pavon L or the like in Cinchona L, Rubiaceae, (B) Acorus calamus linne Besser in Acorus L., Araceae, (C) Polygonum multiflorum Thunb. in Polygonum, Polygonaceae, (D) Syzygium aromaticum Merrill et Perry in Syzygium Gaertn., Myrtaceae, preferably in an amount of 0.2-20 wt.%. |
