PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rudder angle sensor unit capable of accurately detecting the rotation of a first rotor by making the rotation quantity of the rotor coincide with that of a rotary member. SOLUTION: The unit comprises a first and second rotors, 3, 15 which are faced each other across a stator 7 and connected with and rotatably supported by the stator through a through-hole 10, a rotary connector 2 having a flexible cable 14 which is wound between the first and second rotors 3, 15 and the stator 7, one end of which is supported by the stator and the other end of which is supported by the first rotor 3, a rotary member 25 rotatably supported by a fixed member 18, and a rudder angle sensor 16 having means 21 for detecting the rotation quantity of the rotary member 25. An extension 3e provided at either the first rotor 3 far from the rotary member 25 or the rotary member 25 directly connects the first rotor 3 with the rotary member 25 so that the first and second rotors 3, 15 and the rotary member 25 can be rotated together by operating the first rotor 3.
