<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent liquid on a housing board from contacting a sensor to damage it by tightly clamping an elastic pad between a pedestal and the housing board so that the liquid on the housing board does not leak to the space below the housing board and pedestal through a hole of the housing board. SOLUTION: The pointing device includes a base plate 42 and the plastic pedestal 44, which are combined together by insert molding. The base plate 42 is fixed to the reverse of a housing plate 32 with a screw 35. The elastic pad 38 is provided between the housing board 32 and plastic pedestal 44 and arranged below the hole of the housing board 32. The elastic pad 38 is tightly clamped between the housing board 32 and plastic pedestal 44 so as to prevent the liquid on the housing board 32 from leaking to the space below the housing board 32 and base plate 42 through the hole of the housing board 32.</p> |
