<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create sufficient data for a control device over an occupant protection means even when energy supply is lost by constituting a sensor so as to consume a second average power that is reduced as compared with a first average power in an emergency operation mode. SOLUTION: For detecting an objector an occupant in the interior space of a vehicle, a sensor 1 consumes the first a average power in a normal operation mode 32. The feed voltage of an energy power supply source 2 is monitored. When energy supply that is insufficient for the normal operation mode is detected, the sensor 1 is operated by a second average power that is reduced as compared with the first average power, thus a sufficient information is given regarding the position of a child seat or the position of an occupant, particularly of an object or an occupant in a dangerous region for an air bag, namely for occupant protection control of objects in the interior space particularly in case of an accident when an energy power source is affected disadvantageously.</p> |
