<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LCD of high contrast even if capacitance coupling occurs between data lines and pixel electrodes in an LCD where the data lines and the pixel electrodes overlap each other. SOLUTION: A capacity CLC formed by pixel electrodes and a common electrode, an auxiliary capacity CSC, and a capacity CSD formed by the pixel electrodes and data lines are arranged so as to satisfy CSD/(CLC+CSC+CSD)<=0.2 by forming a flattening film 57 thick, securing a forming area of the auxiliary capacity large, using the gate line of the adjoining line as a part of the auxiliary capacity, etc. Thus, it is possible to apply a sufficient voltage to the pixel electrodes and make the LCD to be of high-contrast.</p> |
