PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably seat an electric terminal on a bottom surface of a terminal housing chamber at both sides in a width direction of an elastic locking piece and furthermore certainly lock the terminal in the terminal housing chamber by only locking force of the elastic locking piece. SOLUTION: An electric terminal 1 is provided with a flat plate shaped base part 11; an elastic locking piece locked with a terminal housing chamber, extended from the base part 11 in almost the same width as that of the base part 11; a seating part 13, seated on a bottom surface of the terminal housing chamber, extended from the both sides of a width direction of the base part 11 and both sides of the width direction of the elastic locking piece; an elastic contacting piece 14 with a counterpart terminal folded back from the front end of an axial direction of the base part 11; and a pair of side walls 15 erected from both sides of the width direction of the elastic contacting piece 14.
