DATA REPEATER AND MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of data communication by preventing the loss of data at the time of repeating the data concerning a data repeater for a multiplex communication system. SOLUTION: Concerning a data repeater 4 interposed between multiple communication lines 21-23 to which communication nodes 31-33 are connected, a buffer 431 for temporarily holding received data before transmission is provided for each kind of data to be repeated and a data controller 44 for selecting the repeat destination of the received data and transferring the received data is provided with a buffer designating means 441 for identifying the class of the received data and designating the buffer corresponding to that kind as the destination to write the received data. Thus, the buffer 431 is overwritten only with the latest data of the same kind and the data of the other type can be prevented from being lost.
