PRODUCTION OF INORGANIC BOARD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain inorganic boards prevented from creaking in the rims of the inorganic boards even of the drying of these boards is delayed in the drying process by charging an autoclave with a plurality of green inorganic boards loaded on pallets followed by curing the boards with high-pressure steam and ten keeping pressurized condition to the resulting inorganic boards in saturated steam under the atmospheric pressure. SOLUTION: The inorganic boards are obtained by charging an autoclave 1 with a plurality of green inorganic boards 2 loaded on pallets 3 followed by curing the boards with high-pressure steam, for example, at a temp. of about 150-200 deg.C for about 7-15 h and then keeping pressurized condition against the resulting inorganic boards 2 in saturated steam under the atmospheric pressure so as to approach condition of balance between the atmospheric pressure and steam pressure. Under the condition, the resultant inorganic boards 2 can be waited without evaporating the moisture on the rims thereof until drying them in the drying process, thereby the moisture content of the rims thereof can be maintained so as not to differ from that of the cores thereof.
