PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized and light-weight fuel injection pump which suppresses damage to members composing a fuel force-feeding passage. SOLUTION: A housing main body 11 of a fuel injection pump is made of aluminum. Cylinder heads 12, 13, each made of steel iron, reciprocatingly support plungers 20. A fuel force-feeding passage having a fuel discharge passage 32, a fuel chamber 33 and a housing port 34 is linearly formed in respect to the cylinder heads 12, 13. The fuel force-feeding passage also has communication ports 32a with a fuel pressurizing chamber 30, and fuel outlets 34a opened to the outer peripheral walls of the cylinder heads 12, 13. Fuel pressurized in the fuel pressurizing chamber 30 on the side of the cylinder head 13 flows into the fuel chamber 33 of the cylinder head 12 through a fuel passage 42a and a fuel piping. Fuels pressurized on both fuel pressurizing chambers 30 join with each other in the fuel chamber 33 of the cylinder head 12, and is supplied to a common rail from a fuel passage 41a.
