PURPOSE: A method for performing communication of a telephone based on the internet is provided to call without using a sound card of a computer and to easily connect the telephone with the computer using a universal serial bus(USB), by using a jack of the telephone without connecting a speaker and a headset to a back side of the computer, and by replacing functions of the sound card. CONSTITUTION: A method for performing communication of a telephone based on the internet comprises the steps of: if data is not transmitted, setting up the data as a stand-by mode; if an identify replay(IRP) is received, generating a pipeline between a computer and the telephone to transmit the data; and deciding whether an error is generated to adjust a size of a packet.
