PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable wheel beating device for an automobile, which can prevent vibration due to surface vibration of a brake rotor generated with acceleration of an automobile and biased abrasion of a brake, and dispense with adjustment for surface vibration of the brake rotor in an automobile assembling factory. SOLUTION: This wheel bearing device comprises an outer member 3 having double row rolling surfaces 3a, 3b, an inner member 1 having rolling surfaces 1a, 1b opposite to the respective rolling surfaces 3a, 3b, and double row rolling elements 8 interposed between the outer member 3 and the inner member 1. Either of the outer member 3 or the inner member 1 is provided with a wheel fitting flange 2, and a fixing surface for a brake rotor 20 is formed on one side surface 2a, 2b of the wheel fitting flange 2. One side surface 2a, 2b of the wheel fitting flange 2 for fixing the brake rotor 20 is finished to have surface roughness finer than that of the other side surface by secondary cutting.
