PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fan drive device assembly allowing attachment of a cooling fan to a main body (a housing) of a fluid coupler in a way to substantially improve airflows passing through a cooling fin of the housing. SOLUTION: This fan drive device assembly has a cooling fan 11 and a fluid coupler device 13. The cooling fan 11 has a fan hub 17, a spider 15 and plural fan blades 19. The coupler device 13 has an output coupler assembly 21 including both a main body 23 and a cover 25. The main body 23 has attachment parts 67, preferably only three attachment parts 67, disposed extremely close to each other in the periphery of the main body 23. Each the attachment part 67 is partitioned into a required machining chuck lock face 73 and a spider attachment face 75 having a pilot face 77 engaging with a pilot diameter part of the spider 15. The main body 23 has a cooling fin substantially covering all back face of the main body 23 except the attachment parts 67. The fan hub 17 has an air restriction part 81 extending rearward to restrict local radial airflows. |
