PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fertilizer for appreciation plants by solidifying a fermented compost and applying a coating material to the solidified compost or fertilizer. SOLUTION: A material obtained by mixing fermented compost with lime (CaO) used in a burning apparatus is solidified and a coating materiel, etc., is applied to the solidified material to provide compost or fertilizer usable also for appreciation plants. Particularly, fermented compost is mixed with lime used in a burning apparatus under stirring and the mixed compost is solidified to some extent. The lime used in the burning apparatus can be mixed and solidified at a ratio of 1-70%. The mixed compost is put in a cubic vessel (e.g. star type, heart type or cylindrical vessel) having arbitrary size and pressurized to some extend and then taken out from the cubic vessel. Compost taken out from the vessel can be dried by sun drying, fire drying, fermentation drying, etc. The dried compost is coated with a natural coating material or a painting material.
