ACTUATOR FOR OPTICAL RECORDING-REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE: A linear actuator of an optical disk player is provided to promote large capacity and fast access of an optical disk at the same time and to prevent a disk from wobbling. CONSTITUTION: An optical pickup(20) projects laser beams into an optical disk(50) and picks up the reflected beams therefrom. A flying head(40) transmits/reflects the laser beams of the optical pickup from the disk. An arm(70) supports the flying head. A linear actuator(30) controls tracking and focusing of the flying head. A disk(80) is positioned under the flying head. To assemble the disk, a transparent disk(52) is loaded on the optical disk and a vacuum space is formed therebetween through air suction. The transparent disk is an intermediate medium between the flying head and the optical disk, projects laser beams and prevents the optical disk from wobbling. The actuator adopts a flying head structure to achieve large capacity of data processing and fast access.
