PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve offset resistance and fixing property of a toner containing a binder resin and an imidazole compd. by incorporating a specified mixture resin, vinyl resin or the like into the toner and using a compd. having a specified imidazole unit as the imidazole compd. SOLUTION: This toner contains at least a binder resin and an imidazole compd. In this method, the toner contains one or more kinds of resin selected from a group consisting of a mixed resin of vinyl resins each having carboxyl group and glycidyl group, a vinyl resin having carboxyl group and glycidyl group, and a vinyl resin in which carboxyl group reacted with glycidyl group. The imidazole compd. is a compd. having an imidazole unit expressed by the formula. In the formula, each of R1, R3 and R4 is hydrogen, a halogen, an alkyl group or an amino group, R2 is hydrogen, an alkyl group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group or the like.
