PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair which is free of deviation in the reaction force received from a backrest part and a seat part and does not afford uncomfortableness to a user when the user sits on the chair. SOLUTION: Mesh sheets 25 and 35 to be respectively spread at the backrest member 2 and seat member 3 of the chair 100 are formed by alternately weaving a plurality of warps and wefts to a pattern weave, then fusing the warp and the weft by a fusing treatment. In such a case, the warp and the weft are respectively composed of the folded yarn of filament yarn consisting of fibers of a polyester base to be melted at a high melting point and filament yarn of fibers of a polyester base to be melted at a low melting point. The filament yarn of the low melting point is melted at the time of the fusing treatment, by which the warp and the weft are fused and fixed to each other at the intersection points thereof. The mesh sheets are so formed that the yarn density in a longitudinal direction and the yarn density in a transverse direction after the fusing treatment are equal to each other.
