Alkaline ether amine conveyor lubricant

An amine based lubricant concentrate which comprises; a) one or more ether amine compounds having the formulas R1-OR2-NH2, R1-OR2-NH-R3-NH2, and mixtures thereof wherein, R1 is a linear, saturated or unsaturated C6-C18 alkyl group, R2 is a linear or branched C1-C8 alkylene group and b) a non ionic surfactant effective to solubilise the ether amine compounds when diluted with water wherein the lubricant concentrate has a pH of 10 or greater. Also described are a lubricant use solution and a method of lubricating a conveyor system which involves diluting the concentrated solution with water and applying the lubricant use solution to the intended surface of use.
