<p>The invention relates to a method for treating a medium that is polluted with a nitro group containing compound, characterised in that said medium is contacted in anaerobic conditions with a mixture of (1) a compost mixture and (2) an organic amine compound or a reducing agent or a mixture of an organic amine compound and a reducing agent. The organic amine compound is preferably an amino acid, a peptide or a protein or a mixture of amino acids, peptides, proteins or a mixture of these compounds. Preferably use is made of a mixture of active and deactived compost.</p> |
