PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming device whose operability is improved than heretofore. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an image forming means forming a picture by an electrophotographic system and a control panel provided with a display. Also, it is provided with a mode clear function to manually initialize the image forming mode of the image forming means by an operator and an automatic clear function to automatically initialize the image forming mode when the control panel is not operated by the operator for a specified period. When the automatic clear function is worked because the control panel is not operated for 60 seconds, the initializing processing of the image forming mode set at this point of time is executed (step S21), and a present display language is checked (step S22). In the case that the present display language is the same as a default language (yes in step S22), processing is completed as it, and in the case that it is different from the default language (no in step S22), a VRAM is updated by the display data of the default language (step S23). |
