PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding tray which satisfies approximately all requirements as a returnable container such as strength, easiness in assembly and folding and convenience in use so that the tray is appropriate for use as the returnable container or the like. SOLUTION: A single corrugated fiberboard to be a tray material comprises a rectangular bottom surface 1 approximately at the center having opposite side walls 2A to 2D to be peripheral walls connected via creases to four sides of the bottom surface 1. Adjacent side ends of the respective side walls are coupled with each other via a crease by a coupling piece 3, while the coupling piece is equipped with a rising oblique crease C obliquely extending from each corner of the bottom surface. Auxiliary oblique creases E extending from both upper ends are provided on an inner wall 6 connected to an upper end of the opposite side walls 2C, 2D. The opposite side walls 2A, 2B are folded over the bottom surface 1, and after the respective inner walls 6 are folded over their upper surfaces, the opposite side walls 2C, 2D are made to stand, thereby raising the tray at once.
