PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent interruption of photographing due to a worn-out battery. SOLUTION: In the case of taking a snapshot, a check level of a battery is set depending on an image data quantity stored in a storage element and when a shutter is released before transfer of image data from the storage element to a recording medium is finished, a detected battery voltage is compared with a check level setting value to discriminate propriety of photographing a succeeding frame. In the case of continuous shooting, the check level of the battery is set on the basis of a continuous shooting number setting value, a compression rate of image data and a file size of the image data and the detected battery voltage is compared with the check level setting value to discriminate the propriety of photographing the succeeding frame. Or the continuous shooting available number is decided on the basis of the continuous shooting number setting value, the compression rate of image data and the file size of the image data to limit the photographing number in the case of the continuous shooting to the continuous shooting available number. Thus, interruption of the photographing due to a worn-out battery can be prevented. |
