PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collapse preventing structure in fire which can be efficiently constructed and never protruded unnecessarily to a timber surface by applying a foaming fireproof coating material which forms a foamed fireproof layer when heated onto the surface of the connecting metal fitting of a timber connection part. SOLUTION: When a connecting metal fitting 23 is arranged on the outer surfaces of structural material timbers 22 to be butt-connected in the bridging state, the metal fitting 23 is fixed to the timbers 22 by bolts 24. A foaming fireproof coating material 24 used for fire proofing of steel products, which forms a foamed fireproof layer when heated, is applied to the exposed metal surface of the metal fitting 23. According to this, the sectional deficiency can be eliminated since cutting of timbers is not performed. Since the heat insulating coating of the connecting metal fitting is expanded only when heated and laid in an extremely thin state in construction, the constructing property can be remarkably simplified, and the coating layer can be thinned without protruding. When the fireproof coating material confirmed in effectiveness is applied to the wood part around the connecting metal fitting and thin iron plate, the connection part strength can be kept with remarkably high reliability.
