PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To taste a courtyard full of expression during the movement from a main entrance to a drawing room as a direction for a visitor to take a view of the courtyard and as a plurality of directions on a traffic line from the entrance to the drawing room. SOLUTION: A courtyard 5 faces an entrance hall 2. A Japanese-style room 9 as a drawing room is made to lay out to an opposite side of the entrance hall 2 by holding the courtyard 5 between the entrance hall and drawing room. Cloisters 61 and 63 extended so as to take a turn in the courtyard 5 to link the entrance hall 2 with the drawing room 9 are provided. The circumference of the courtyard 5 is surrounded by walls 51, 52 and 53, an underfloor ventilating opening 51 is provided to the wall 51 opposite to the entrance hall 2, a fixed sash window 56 is provided to the wall opposed to the cloisters 61 and 63, and a double sliding window 57 is provided to the wall opposed to the Japanese- style room 9.
