<p>In a motor and pump assembly, the motor is arranged in a motor housing (1) and the pump in a pump housing (2). Both housings (1 and 2) may be interconnected. The motor housing has a second main bearing (15). The pump housing has a pump bearing (19). In normal operation, the forces which act on the pump eccentric (18) are essentially supported by the main bearing (15) and by the pump bearing (19). The bearing forces are transmitted to the pump housing (2). When the motor housing (1) is not secured to the pump housing (2), the rotor shaft (4) is supported on the main bearing (15) and if required on an auxiliary bearing (10). The motor may thus be tested without being connected to the pump housing.</p> |
