MULTI-ELEMENT PROBE WITH MULTIPLEXED ELEMENTS FOR NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING

In a multi-element non-destructive testing probe, such as an eddy current testing or ultrasound probe, efficiency is improved by multiplexing, at the probe head, signals to and from a number of probe elements on the probe head onto a reduced number of signal conductors. Amplifications of return signals at the probe head prior to transmission also improves the signal to noise ratio of detection signals.
