PURPOSE: A bearing member is provided to prevent a ball from being escaped from an infinite circulation path while restricting the sliding movement of a holder with respect to an outer cylinder. CONSTITUTION: A bearing member comprising an outer cylinder(1), a holder(2) installed inside the cylinder(1) and which has a loading portion and non-loading portion, and a ball(4) installed in an infinite circulation path constituted by a return portion connecting the loading portion and non-loading portion, wherein the holder is prevented from being rotated with respect to the cylinder(1), the outer cylinder and the holder being installed in such a manner either of the two slidably movable in lengthwise direction with respect to the other, the holder being slidably movable in one direction and prevented from being rotated in other direction up to a position the infinite circulation path is not exposed or to a position not causing the ball to be escaped from the path.
