PURPOSE: A fabric, suitable for use in the construction of all or part of an air bag serving as a protective device for crews and passengers in case of the collision of a vehicle is provided, which resolves the problems of complexity of a process and high cost and improves the air permeability and softness of fabrics at the same time. CONSTITUTION: This air bag fabric is characterized in that: synthetic fiber filaments are used for warps and wefts; a single yarn fineness of wefts is lower than that of warps; and the difference of a single yarn fineness between wefts and warps is more than 2 denier. The single yarn fineness of warps and wefts is 6 to 12 denier and 1.5 to 6.0 denier respectively. The air bad has an air permeability of 0.5cc/(cm¬2.sec).
