PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to prevent the lowering of contrast and the color repeatability of a screen because an external light is reflected from a panel and is not incident on the eyes of a viewer, and also prevent the color purity of a light emitted from a phosphor from being lowered by the external light. CONSTITUTION: A PDP(plasma display panel) comprises: a back glass plate(12); a front glass plate(11); a cathode electrode(18) formed on the top surface of the back glass plate; a number of barrier ribs(16) which prevents the discharge interference, being installed to be orthogonal with the cathode electrodes in the back glass plate; a dielectric layer(14,17) installed on top/bottom of the barrier ribs; an anode electrode(13) formed on the bottom surface of the front glass plate; and an MgO layer(15) installed between the anode electrode and the top dielectric layer. And, a phosphor(21) is coated on the top of an inner circumference of a spherical space part(20) between the barrier ribs, and a light outlet is formed on the phosphor, and an open part(22a) revealing the cathode electrode is formed on a total reflection mirror(22). |
